The DMR Upgrade is an optional add-on that enables Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) Tier I and II capability on your G-Series P25 Voice Pager.

You need this upgrade if your network or service provider requires DMR for communication. Check with your provider or network administrator to confirm if DMR is necessary for your pager.

If the model number of your G-Series P25 Voice Pager includes the number "67" (e.g., G5B67BF-SXUCEN1301UNI), then DMR is already installed on your device.

To find the model number, navigate to the "Information" screen on your pager.

We no longer enable DMR at the factory. Below are instructions on how to remotely enable DMR for new devices:

Instructions for New Devices:

If you’re purchasing a new pager and want to add DMR:

1. Go to the DMR Upgrade product page: https://store.unicationusa.com/g-series-voice-pagers/317-dmr-upgrade.html

2. Add the DMR Upgrade to your cart and complete checkout.

3. Within one business day, you will receive an email titled “Your DMR Upgrade is Ready” containing your download link and a copy of your completed invoice. The invoice will show the serial numbers.

NOTE: If purchasing multiple pagers but only want DMR on certain models, please specify which ones in the Product Customization field or the order notes at checkout (e.g., “DMR on G4”).

Instructions for Existing Devices (Already in Your Possession):

If you already own a pager and want to enable DMR:

1. Go to the DMR Upgrade product page: https://store.unicationusa.com/g-series-voice-pagers/317-dmr-upgrade.html

2. Enter the serial numbers in the Product Customization field. Separate multiple serial numbers with commas (e.g., AGXXXXXXXX, AGYYYYYYYY).

3. Click the "Save Customization" button. The page will refresh.

4. Add the DMR Upgrade to your cart. If you entered multiple serial numbers, update the quantity to match the number of units.

5. Complete checkout.

6. Within one business day, you will receive an email titled “Your DMR Upgrade is Ready” containing your download link.

Note: The downloaded Function Updater will work on all serial numbers entered under the same order. Simply connect each pager one at a time and run the upgrade process on each to enable DMR.

There is no limit to the number of serial numbers you can include in a single order. You can separate each serial number with a comma (e.g., AGXXXXXXXX, AGYYYYYYYY).

Be sure to update the quantity of DMR Upgrades purchased to match the number of serial numbers entered in the Product Customization field.

Please ensure you’re connecting the correct pager. The Function Updater only works with the specific serial number(s) and order number linked in our system.

A new Function Updater must be downloaded from the link sent to you after purchasing the DMR Upgrade. This utility is uniquely generated to work only with the specific serial number(s) and order number entered in our system.

The Function Updater utility you download will work for all serial numbers entered under that single order. If you purchased separate orders, each will have its own unique utility tied to those serial numbers and order numbers.

No. The DMR Upgrade is tied to the specific serial number(s) provided at purchase and cannot be transferred to another device. For a new pager, you must purchase a separate paid DMR Upgrade.

However, if a pager with a paid DMR Upgrade is replaced with a refurbished unit through repair, you will receive a new download link to enable DMR on the replacement device.

If the original pager had a paid DMR Upgrade, you will receive a new download link to enable DMR on the refurbished device.
